Our Team

I’m a sociologist trying to figure out what people and organisations should do when faced with uncertainty (which is not the same thing as risk). My first book was The Uncertainty Mindset (Columbia Univ. Press, 2020), about how to design organisations that benefit from uncertainty. I’m a co-founder of Poietic PBC, a partner in Dreddge, and a fellow at the Singapore Government’s Centre for Strategic Futures. Previously, I was founding faculty at University College London’s School of Management, a board member of Rethink Food, and worked on Earth/Maps, spaceflight, and structured data at Google in California. I have a PhD in organisational behaviour and sociology from Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
